Stanton Lanier
Stanton Lanier is an award-winning pianist-composer, and has released eight instrumental albums, five with Grammy winning producer William Ackerman, Founder of Windham Hill Records. Stanton grew up in North Carolina and the Florida panhandle, beginning twelve years of piano lessons at age six, and composing his first song at age fourteen. Music influences include J.S. Bach, Beethoven, Elton John, Billy Joel, U2, Windham Hill, and old hymns.
From chemist-M.B.A.-financial planner to pianist-composer-author, Stanton's story, recordings, and concerts — with signature piano, visuals, and interaction — are one-of-a-kind. In 2004 he founded Music to Light the World, a non-profit ministry with a mission to be a leading instrument for God’s peace, rest, hope and healing in the church, the cultural arts, and the lives of cancer patients. Over 50,000 CDs have been donated to families through Get Music Give Hope℠, where generous donors and supporting customers help one CD be given away for every one purchased.
