Still Patient?
A noted example of the "3rd wave" of gothic rock, German band Still Patient? featured twin guitars, bass, drum machine and synthesiser behind ND's deep vocal. 2 albums on Hyperium Records established their 'clean' melodic sound before musical highpoint, 1996's self-released 'Chameleon', a limited edition mini-album. Mostly comprising demos of unreleased material, the 'Nightmare Arrival' album came during 18 month career interuption when a band member was called-up for military service. This gave no indication of the radical change to a much heavier, metal influenced sound on 'Demondive' (1999) which was toured widely across europe until the band folded in 2000.
