TJH87
TJH87 (aka Timo Juuti & Hector 87), is an electronic music duo, from Oulu, Finland, comprising: Timo Juuti and Hector 87. Founded in 2010, allegedly after borrowing a quantity of vinyl albums, from their local library, they are known for disco / rock influenced house. Their latest EP is "Deadlock" (Jul 2013, La Valigetta), feat' Patrick Baker (vocals), and remixes by Preston Chin (aka Robotaki), Riku Pentti (aka Rico Tubbs) and Roisto.
TJH87 describe their songs as ”epic tragedies that are not just for clubs and big speaker systems”.
As Timo Juuti & Hector 87, they released a few singles in 2011. Two of these were included on Hed Kandi compilations and ”I Know It” was featured on BBC Radio 1 by Fearne Cotton and DJ Chuckie. Their début EP followed, ”Woo Chicks & Disco Wobblez” (2012, La Valigetta), including remixes by Ghosts of Venice, PHNTM and J Paul Getto. Cheap Bad Moves (Original Mix), from the EP, became their most successful pre-TJH87 recording, receiving international radio airplay and another Hed Kandi compilation placement.
In addition to original recordings, Timo & Hector have undertaken remixes for Avicii, Mani, Joonas Hahmo and Aress. They have also released a series of free bootleg remixes, which have gained tens of thousands of SoundCloud / YouTube plays. They have received further support from DJs including: Armand Van Helden, David Vendetta, Robbie Rivera and David Penn.
