1. Tol is quite an unknown Minimal/Ambient duo consisting of Frank Bretschneider and Tilo Seidel. They have produced two albums, Trap (1996) under the Raster-Noton label and Shang (2003) on the BineMusic label.
2. Tol (ТОЛ ) is a Ukrainian band that was formed in Kiev, Ukraine on May 23, 2003 by several young Ukrainian musicians. In Russia and Ukraine TOL is the abbreviation for the chemical compound Trinitrotoluene (TNT) which is commonly used for explosives.
