Taciturn
Taciturn is the name for two different bands.
1)Taciturn is a progressive instrumental band from Des Moines, Iowa consisting of Todd Riekena on guitar, Shaun Riekena on drums and Nick Borror on bass.
In the beginning of 2000, Taciturn was formed as a two piece instrumental project. In the middle of 2007, Taciturn welcomed bassist, Nick Borror of Index Case, into the mix, adding a new dimension to their unique sound and live performances. Their style is a unique blend of dynamic, instrumental, ambient rock. Their first full-length album, "Secret Messages in Impermanence", was released in 2007. This album was recorded and produced entirely by Todd Riekena and Shaun Riekena.
In 2008, drummer Shaun Riekena performed for the Joey Jordison (the main drummer for fellow Des Moines natives Slipknot) remix of Puscifer's "Drunk With Power." This track is featured on the 2008 album "V" is for Viagra. The Remixes, and is entitled "Drunk With Power (Hungover and Hostile in Hannover Mix)."
2) Taciturn was born in may 2003 with Max and Bast. During their concerts so far they have had the pleasure of sharing the scene with bands such as Age Of Ruin (USA), Comity, The death of Anna Karina (it), The Grizzly Twister(se), Agatha(it), Laghetto(it), With engine heart,(slovenie), Bokanovsky, Scwhere Artillerie, None shall be saved, xProvidencex, I Pilot Daemon, No Hay deaz, Down to Earth, No Compromise, Sequoia, Feeding, Lost In Battle, The Act Of Fortune, Tanen, Astro etc
