The (International) Noise Conspiracy
The (International) Noise Conspiracy was formed in Sweden, in 1998, as a garage rock band with punk rock influences. The band members are Dennis Lyxzén (vocals), Inge Johansson (bass), Lars Strömberg (guitar), and Ludwig Dahlberg (drums). Dennis formed T(I)NC almost immediately after the break up of his former band, Refused. T(I)NC takes pride in blending the roots of at least four other bands, including Refused (Lyxzén), Totalt Jävla Mörker (Johansson), Separation (Strömberg), Saidiwas (Dahlberg and former keyboardist Sara Almgren).
The band are noted for their communist political stance, and features songs charged by left-wing lyrical themes, such as Communist Moon and Guns for Everyone. According to lead singer Lyxzén, the band were influenced by a quote from 1960's folk singer Phil Ochs, and wanted to achieve an ideal blend of music and politics that was, "a cross between Elvis Presley and Che Guevara."
Their album Armed Love was produced by Rick Rubin and featured keyboards courtesy of the legendary Billy Preston. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
