The Bar Feeders
Alcohol.......Good God......Alcohol is probably responsible for this entire mess. Without alcohol it’s doubtful The Bar Feeders would speak to one another very often. Without alcohol they wouldn’t play so obnoxiously fast .(It’s a little known fact that they do so only to hide the endless mistakes and fuck-ups that invariably materialize as a result of their refusal to perform in a state even remotely resembling sobriety.) Without alcohol they would never have forged that kind of indestructible bond that can only come to be when three judgment impaired glory chasing musicians get loaded and climb to the top of the Bay Bridge at 2am and spend the rest of the night wondering how the hell to get down. Without alcohol they would surely lack the sufficient social skills to hand out fliers or make friends who would come see them play.
This morning at their home as they toiled between the couch and the refrigerator we asked The Bar Feeders to come up with a bio .After pleading for and receiving a fresh 12-pack they descended upon a large sheet of butcher paper .Armed with a box of crayons they emerged from their huddle 30 minutes later with an X-rated, homo-erotic rendering of The Three Little Pigs. Colorful though it was and despite some nifty symbolism it was obvious that this was not the historical documentation we were seeking. They didn’t seem to notice us leaving as they incoherently tossed around the idea of using their new masterpiece for the cover of the next record.
Since subsequent efforts to procure a written chronicle proved even less successful we’ve compiled a list of vital statistics that should pretty well get the point across and bring you up to date.
