The Exceptions
There are at least two groups named The Exceptions:
1. The Exceptions were a sixties 'girl group' from Coventry, United Kingdom (Georgina Oliver, Pamela Jarman, Valerie Jones). They were successful on their home soil as The Orchids. In the United States they were initially dubbed 'The Blue Orchids' (due to the existence of an American set of Orchids on the Roulette label), but in 1965 they were re-launched in America as The Exceptions. Their only single actually recorded and released under the Exceptions moniker was 'What More Do You Want' b/w 'Soldier Boy'.
2. The Exceptions were part of the thriving Detroit ska scene of the 90's. They often performed with other Detroit ska bands like The Skolars (later known as Telegraph), Gangster Fun, The Parka Kings, Aks Mamma, and Mustard Plug. Read more on Last.fm.
