The Hair & Skin Trading Company
The Hair & Skin Trading Company were a British experimental rock group formed in 1991 by ex-Loop members Neil Mackay (vocals/bass) and John Wills (now Pumajaw) (drums). Joined by ex-Savage Opera guitarist Nigel Webb, they released their debut album "Jo in Nine G Hell" on Beggar's Banquet in 1992. Their early work mixes fairly generic early-'90s alternative rock with strong influences from post-punk and the work of Swiss industrial rockers The Young Gods. By their third album, 1995's Krautrock-influenced "Psychedelische Musique", The Hair & Skin Trading Company had dispensed with all conventional rock elements for an extremely abstract post-rock sound.
