The Inconsolables
The Inconsolables (www.theinconsolables.com) were an energetic London-based six-piece who played squonky punkpop with a dash of electro gubbins. They broke up in the summer of 2009, after two and a tad years of gigs, and multiple line-ups. Members included the Manhattan muse of a world-renowned artist and a juvenile offender from Canada, alongside a British-born bevy of part-time thespians, full-time punks and drunks. Spasticating crowds at London clubs like Buttoned Down Disco and Twee As Fuck, they were described as "a clever, bouncy, urgent trip to the end of the pier" with "whirling, fizzy keyboards and The B-52s-style boy/girl vocals". They were also compared to bis, Bearsuit, Helen Love and Polysics. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
