The King's Parade
The King's Parade were formed at The University of York in 2009 when Olly Corpe and Sam Rooney met at an open mic night. After performing around various pubs and clubs around York, the duo grew with the addition of drums and bass from Chris Brent and Tom English. The King's Parade developed a reputation within the music scene in and around York with their fresh style which has been described as a mix of Pop and Soul with definite influences from the Motown era. With powerful vocals and impressive instrumentation The King's Parade have had very positive feedback from their latest releases, which include Vagabond, New Roots and Belsize Lane, reaching more than 130 000 track plays since they were made live in 2012. After a move to London before the new year, the band are ready to make an impact on the music scene in the capital with planed releases of new and interesting songs throughout the year.
