The Last Atlant
Born in 1987 and raised in Aix-en-Provence in the south of France, Guillaume Sionis (aka The Last Atlant) was introduced to electronic dance music with Daft Punk's classic "Homework" in 1997. A few years later, at the age of 16, Guillaume began to learn how to produce his own music with the help of his cousin, a sound engineer. His melodic but energetic progressive house sound was inspired by such musical influences as Terry Lee Brown Jr., Sasha and John Digweed, and Timo Maas' "Connected" compilation.
In 2006, at just 18 years old, Guillaume landed his first commercial release with a 5-track EP on Toes in the Sand Recordings titled "Speechless Poetry." Released in March 2006, "Speechless Poetry" has received rave reviews, with one reviewer calling Guillaume "the next big thing in progressive."
Guillaume recently released another remarkable EP on DJ Tarkan and V-Sag's label No Smoking Recordings, where Guillaume explores the smoother, more eclectic side of progressive.
