The Madd
The Madd (2006-2010) were a contemporary sixties beat band from Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Most of their recordings were cover versions of sixties beat gems from the vaults.
These four young men, dressed in tight sharp suits were the first of their generation to give new life to mod culture in the low lands.
Their first EP was released on vinyl by the Dutch Stardumb label (may 2006). Fast cars, pretty girls, bad women, broken romances and boredom were the classic but timeless inspiration-sources for The Madd.
After four years, two albums and one hit with Dio they broke up in 2010.
The Kik, fronted once again by Dave von Raven, is seen by many as a Dutch-language continuation of The Madd. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
