The Str8jackets
The Str8jackets are a London based dance music DJ/production/remix act with a difference.
Locked down in their Asylum Studio, the guys create house music as their therapy. Behind the masks and restraints, their musical minds come together and they strive to break the rules by mixing styles and genres to create unique and memorable tracks.
Whether its an Asylum, Deluded or Medicated Rub they stamp their identity firmly on everything they do.
Their first major recognition came from Pete Tong on BBC radio 1, playing their bootleg remix of the Black Eyed Peas’ ‘Boom Boom Pow’ and wrongly crediting it as a David Guetta Remix (some praise) as well as making their debut track, ‘Whats it All About? a ‘Wonderment’ on the Essential Selection.
Remixes for Kim English & Stephanie Cooke on Legendary label Nervous NYC have seen support from greats such as Frankie Knuckles and Junior Vasquez.
Recently the guys have made their debut on legendary labels Strictly Rhythm & Subliminal with their collaboration with Sam Obernik, ‘Love & Oxygen’
Also their track ‘Givin You More’ on their own Deluded Records has seen continued support from Roger Sanchez, Bob Sinclar, Daddys Groove and Danny Rampling to name a few.
Coming soon are further remixes and singles for Strictly Rhythm, collaborations with Inaya Day, Dawn Tallman and Sharon Phillips amongst others and their debut Album is in the works…
When it comes to DJing The Str8jackets show is something never heard before…. Their sets combine studio elements with DJing to remix live and create live edits on the fly which never fails to rock the crowd.
With their own remixes and re-edits featuring heavily The Str8jackets DJ set will not disappoint.
