The Subtle Way
Hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area, known for spawning exceptional, aggressive bands such as METALLICA, AFI, MACHINE HEAD, NEUROSIS and EXODUS, comes THE SUBTLE WAY. Affectionately know by their fans as "T-Sway," THE SUBTLE WAY are one of the hottest up-and-comers in the post-hardcore genre throughout the country. After releasing 3 records in the past 3 years (1 LP and 2 EPs), THE SUBTLE WAY traveled up to the great wet north of Seattle, WA to record their epic masterpiece, Thus Far, The Channels Speak, with esteemed producer Casey Bates (A SKYLIT DRIVE, CHIODOS, PIERCE THE VEIL, FEAR BEFORE). This 11-song sophomore full-length album has ascended to a higher musical plane than their previous work and placed THE SUBTLE WAY in the upper stratosphere along with current heavy hitters like THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, UNDEROATH, or SAOSIN. Thus Far, The Channels Speak spans a range of musicianship that is rare in the rock universe, from the synth-pop "The Getaway," to the death-metal "This Ain¹t No Fashion Show," to the anthemic "The Archer And The Alibi." For their loyal fans, there are still plenty of future genre classics like, "Hard Wired And Inspired" and "Where Cowards Hide." Thus Far, The Channels Speak is the next step in THE SUBTLE WAY¹s evolution of the traditional post-hardcore sound. THE SUBTLE WAY have toured the country four times in the past two years, but with the release of this new opus, these Californians are devoted to spreading their music around the United States and the rest of the globe with a rigorous full time touring schedule throughout 2010. With one of the best live performances out there today, new and old fans alike will increasingly get the opportunity to share in the explosive energy that "T-Sway" brings from the first riff to the last blast.
