The Yelling
The Yelling are Nathaniel Cox (vocals/guitar), Robert Davis (guitar), John Ransom (Bass), and Michael Judd (drums). Hailing from North Hollywood, California The Yelling released the fittingly titled "EP" in Oct of 2008 and their latest single "21st Century Freak" in May of 2009.
The band is said to have physically released a full-length debut entitled "Long Time My Love" soon afterward, but broke up, it would seem, before the general public could get a hold of it. Luckily, the songs on the album which were not included on EP or 21st Century Freak were added to The Yelling's SoundCloud page as recently as December 2011, except for the track "Naked".
In January of 2012, The Yelling returned on their own label with a Various Artists release entitled "Save Our Souls - Soundtrack Vol. 1". One track, "How We Get Our Kicks" had been posted to SoundCloud about nine months prior to the album release. Now every song on it, except for tracks 5 and 11, is posted on a separate profile. The other artist in 'Various Artists' is Michael Sanchez, who did the last two tracks on the album.
The band started out under the name "maryandi". Four tracks from those days can be found on ReverbNation, including the earlier versions of "Mother Carried a Child","Fire and a Microphone" and "Honey". Read more on Last.fm.
