Tim Gunn
Timothy M. Gunn (born 1953) is Chair of Fashion Design at Parsons The New School for Design and on-air mentor to designers on the Bravo reality television program Project Runway.
Gunn came to Parsons in 1982 and was Associate Dean from 1989 to 2000, prior to assuming his current position in August, 2000. He was credited with giving the school a "facelift for the 21st century."
A native of Washington, D.C., Gunn was previously with the Corcoran College of Art + Design, a part of the Corcoran Gallery. He currently lives in New York City.
Gunn began appearing on Project Runway with its first season in 2004 and is known, among other things, for his catchphrases, "Make it work." and "Carry on."
