Tired Irie started out in 2005 after Simon Gingell, Ian Humes & Robert Neelys' noise band 'Motel Rosa' played a show with Fleet based post hardcore troupe 'The Daiglo Project' featuring Neil Humphrey and Mark Adams. All five members wanted something new so disbanded previously the mentioned acts and Mark and Neil moved to Leicester. Initial recordings sounded like an exact cross between the previous bands, part noise, part post rock. After a while the dual vocals began to take the fore and after Neils departure Mark switched to guitar and Simon began using a synth bass. The first document of this is on the 'Tired Irie EP' which was released in late 2007 to much critical acclaim. Drowned in Sound rewarded it 9/10 and NME named them ones to watch of 2008. A tour with 65 Days of Static and support slots with Battles, Foals, Micachu and Does It Offend You Yeah gained them yet more positive reviews as an exciting live proposition. In April 2008 they released 'Hexagon' which found its way onto MTV2s 120 minutes and national Radio stations.
Tired Irie split in June 2009.
Tired Irie are also responsible for the infamous 'Wolf Party'. See myspace for more info.
