Tommy & Rumble
Tommy & Rumble is a radio program broadcast on FM99 in Virginia. The show, hosted by Tommy Griffiths and Rick Rumble, began in 1995 and is the most popular morning radio show in Virginia. This popularity is due in large part to the comedic banter from the two hosts and their co-workers, as well as the famous (and infamous) radio bits they create.
The FM99 morning show actually originated in the 1980s. It was called "Reeger and the Bull" hosted by Ron Reeger and Henry Del Toro, a.k.a. "The Bull". When Reeger left, he was replaced by Jimmy Ray Dunn and the show became "Jimmy and the Bull". From 1990 through 1995, the show was called "Tommy & the Bull", hosted by Tommy Griffiths and Del Toro. Both Griffiths and Del Toro were once suspended from the show for an April Fools Day joke in which they told listeners that Mount Trashmore was about to blow up. Del Toro left the show and WNOR in June 1995, and was replaced by Rick Rumble. Griffiths would ultimately sue Del Toro in 1996 on the grounds of slander; Del Toro passed away in 2002.
Among the other correspondents working on the Tommy and Rumble program are news correspondent Nikki Reed, traffic correspondent "Chill", and producer Scott Nicholson. One of their newest members is Jason "The Show Wrecker", who joined the program soon after sportscaster Rod Fitzwell left the show in April 2005. Jason is often sent on wacky assignments by Tommy & Rumble.
Together they have produced twelve CD's, including The Wurst Of Tommy And Rumble and iPuds. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
