Violetta
At least two bands are known to carry the name Violetta:
(1) The first, a hardcore/metalcore group from Tampa, FL, was composed of William Force (Vocals), Hank Watts (Bass), Brett Johnston (Guitar), and Adam (Drums). Their first release was a 3" CD, "The Ever Changing Nature of Shame." In 2002, they released a split CD with fellow Florida locals Sixteen Hours entitled "The Highs and Lows of Fidelity." After breaking up circa 2004, various members went on to play in Oh, the Horror!, the Windshield Death Threat Procedure, and Still Waiting.
(2) The second, a pop-rock group from Columbus, Ohio, is composed of Adam McKenzie (Drums), Kyle Lochbaum (Rhythm Guitar), Andy Dunham (Bass Guitar) Austin Covey (Lead Guitar), and Brooke Weirick (Vocals). The band self-released a 4-song EP called "Are We There Yet?" in April of 2009. They have opened for a variety of national acts, including Craig Owens (Equal Vision/Warner Bros), Abandon (Forefront/EMI), Decyfer Down (INO/Columbia), and Spoken (Tooth And Nail). They began recording their upcoming full-length album, "Are We There Yet?" in the summer of 2009. Read more on Last.fm.
