Voodoo Popeye
Voodoo Popeye [or sometimes credited as Vudu Popaj] was born as Radenko Stojanovic and lives on the periphery of Zemun in Zemun Polje.
He is known as a musician who, among other things, invented a new music genre; the "goa-folk".
He is a pioneer in Serbian experimental rap music and released his first album in the mid 90' entitled "Voodoo Epopeye".
He is a huge opposer of the thesis "You have to live from something" ["od neceg se mora ziveti"]. He plays table tennis [ping pong], rides a bicycle and constructs small sized models.
When he was sixteen years old he tried to commit suicide when a local gang beat up his best friend, a guy with a Down syndrome condition. From that moment he began to write songs [poems].
"Razglednice iz Bumeranga" is his first book [a novel]. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
