Whetherman
Simon.dBiography:
Whetherman is the music of Nicholas Williams, a singer/songwriter originally from Columbus, Ohio.
Williams produced and released his first official album "Bull" in June 2007 under distribution through Adorable Records, a startup independent label based just outside of Detroit, MI. The record received wide recognition in the Midwest and itunes community as an artist on the rise, with standout tracks such as “Moon”, “Storms in Seattle”, and “The Dove and The Doctor” frequenting popular folk playlists and indie radio stations from California to Virginia. The music video for “Moon” has also been featured on VIRV since it’s release in late 2007.
"The Great Lull", his 2nd album, was released in November 2008 and takes an appropriate turn to the softer side of Williams’ creativity. Amongst the use of rhodes, keys, African drums, tambourine, ukelele, and string arrangements, nearly each track is broken down to the raw talent of Williams: acoustic guitar in hand and soaring, melodic vocals with insightful lyrical depth.
Currently, Williams is recording a full-scale production titled "Nooks and Crannies", set to release in mid 2010. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
