Y-LUK-O
Y-Luk-O is a project inspired by Industrial, EBM, and experimental elements. The band was formed in November 1999 in London by Yluko and Leonardo von Leibnitz after a successful collaboration on a song which was originally slated to be a one-shot. Siegfried Grampe joined the band in 2003 as guitarist, but also contributed on the new album with vocals and additional compositions and sound-design.
Y-Luk-O released their debut-album back in 2002 on Sonic-X, a Frankfurt-based label, which met many positive reactions.
In 2003 the band released their second album “Kerion Celsi“ that contained remixes by legendary FRONT242, IN THE NURSERY and KIRLIAN CAMERA.
The year 2003 saw the first Y-Luk-O live tour in Germany with KIEW. By impressive use of multimedial means like video projection screens, a live e-drummer, guitarists and actors, the band delivered powerful and breathtaking live performances.
After the release of the US-Edition of Kerion Celsi in the United States on LUKOTYK RECORDS, the band undertook a very successful and enthusiastically celebrated US-Tour in November 2004.
Having released their third studio album „ELEKTRIZITÄTSWERK“ on Final Dusk Records / LUKOTYK RECORDS in April 2005, Y-Luk-O did put their first EP "Resistance" on the market in November 2005. It contained news songs among a selection of remixes of "Resistance".
Their fifth release called "Sin(n)" was released in 2007.
Actually, Y-Luk-O are about to prepare their next releases "Autark!" (EP) for 2016 and an album for begin of 2017. The band has started to collaborate with different artists for their new audiovisual concepts and forthcoming live shows.
