Zegunder
Zegunder is an electronic music group comprised of Alosha Tsinovoi and Gil Cohen. Both members hail from the northern Israeli city of Haifa, where they had previously been in local post-rock bands before attempting their own group. Their first release, a 3 track EP titled Esperanta, was recorded while Alosha and Gil were waiting for their mandatory army recruitment. They continued to record during their weekend breaks from the service, releasing their first full length album the following year. Tumbleweeds marked a move to a more melodic approach, featuring vocal contributions from Daphne Haller and pairing beats and clicks in the Glitch style with layers of guitars and organs reminiscent of Shoegazing. Zegunder's second album was released by the British label Neo Ouija and developed the style they had previously established. The band is currently on hiatus as Haller is trying her luck in Canada, Tsinovoi is in Israel at a university, and Gil Cohen forms half of the duo Alexandra Veanna. Read more on Last.fm.
