1)Kiyoshi Ono is the man behind the soft electronic landscapes that are kiyo. Born July 5, 1966, in Japan, Kiyoshi's early inspirations were new wave and punk rock along with the strange world of director David Lynch. His first release was one track under Kiyoshi's proper name on merck's 2000 collection Aurora. In 2002 a mysterious package arrived at the door of Schematic Records with a demo inside and the message "Enjoy warm noise from Japan." It was kiyo, and Schematic was so impressed that the label included two of the tracks on its 2003 Well Suited for General-Purpose Audio Work compilation. The same year the label released kiyo's full-length debut, Chaotech Odd Echo. ~ David Jeffries, All Music Guide
kiyo is also the name of the keyboardist from the Japanese rock band Janne da Arc. He and the other members are currently working on solo projects as the band is on hiatus. He has also been a support keyboardist for fellow avex artist kaede, providing support for one of her mini-albums (Organic). He also appears monthly on a video webcast for Ameba Studio called kiyo露天風呂. Kiyo's solo album 'Artisan of Pleasure' was released on July 21, 2008 featuring guest vocals from Yasu of Acid Black Cherry (on the track Tears) as well as Okika on the closing track 'Eternal Heart'.
