max Min
A British heart in an Austrian soul - max Min combines both to the beautiful, dreamy and sometimes bizarre album "Bright Is the Silence". Sometimes, the quiet moments are the brightest. That’s what max Min found out while working on his debut, and that’s what he named it after. His music tells about the quiet and the loud moments in his life and his lyrics carefully introduce the listener to his inner world.
max Min has no fear of his means of choice. Now and then, one hears puzzling interferences as in “Girl in Paris” and gets an impression of his personal weltschmerz. Max min is an experienced musician, who cleverly works on sounds and rhythms and comes up with ageless pillow-compositions like “Easy song” or his Piano-Hymn “I don’t let you go“, which could be created by Roland Orzabal of Tears for Fears. Unique is his song “Lie” - a solemn, theatrical breath.
„Bright Is the Silence” is a skilfully instrumented, slowly floating soundscapes-album, sometimes revealing an affinity to Elliott Smith – both having an ethereal and sincere voice. max Min also has a flair for this kind of guitar Indie-Pop, where each piece takes its place for breathing and has plenty of time to develop.
