midnightPumpkin
midnightPumpkin was an indie Japanese Ska rock band. The band is best known for housing two female vocalists.
When the band formed back in 2002 they decided that they would like to offer the time to all people that look their way the time to dream. The band's name comes from the pumpkin carriage in the fairytale Cinderella. The band soon started playing local shows and started becoming well known for the two female vocalists and their use of horns.
In 2005 the band signed with the indie label XTRA LARGE RECORDS which is best known for being the label that carries the popular rock band SHAKALABBITS. In October they released their debut mini-album, "TimeLimit". After it's release, the band headed into a 47 venue national tour. The tour ended in the later part of the year at Nagoya with their last show being their first one-man live.
The band soon went on to release two singles, "VEGA / CRYBABY" and "BOYS&GIRLS". These singles were very sucessful and helped the band to break into the top 20 on the Oricon charts.
They split up on October 31(Halloween), 2011.
