Ορφέας Περίδης
Orfeas Peridis was born 20th February 1957 in Athens. He is a singer and songwriter. He studied classical music in various conservatoires and took degree of Harmony and classic guitar. Before his becoming well known in the Greek public, he used to sing with his guitar in various places. It was then in 1993, when he released his first album 'Ah, Psixi mou fantasmeni', which includes tracks like 'Fotovolida', 'Zilevi i nihta', 'Fevgo'and 'Roben ton kammenon dason'. In 1996, he released his second album, entitled 'Kali sou mera an ksypnas', in which among others, you can find 'Ah na se do' and 'Kati mou krivis'.Then in 1998, he copmposed various songs for Manolis Lidakis's, 'O ilios tou Genari'. One year later, that is in 1999, his third album comes in place. 'Gia pou to vales kardia mou' in which 'Ilagiali' as well as the homonym, can be heard. In 2000 he composed music for the theatre for "Aggela" of Giorgos Sevastikoglou in direction Giorgos Armenis plus "O Peirasmos" of Grigorios Xenopoulos, directed by Theo Gkonis. In 2001, he tried something completely different, by releasing an album exclusively with children's songs called 'Sto Prwto Prwto petagma'. Two years later, in 2003 he returns with 'Ti tha pi zoi', one of his most 'mature' albums, as most people say. And one year later in 2004, in the album 'Ap to parathiro koito', a collaboration with Dionisis Savopoulos and Sokratis Malamas is born. His latest album 'Kapoion agapaei akoma' was released in May of 2007. Orfeas Peridis has toured around Greece, and is an artist that is opening his own way in the world music industry.
