Арда
There are at least two bands / musicians named Arda.
1) Russian melodic power metal band Арда (Arda, named after John RR Tolkien's Middle-Earth) was formed in 2000 by Pavel Okunev, ex-vocalist of Epidemia.
In February 2002 Arda recorded two demo CD's, and in August they presented their first single 'Net Nikovo' (Nobody's There) on Echo Moskvi radio station. At 2003 autumn Arda was signed to CD-Maximum and relesed their debut album 'O Skitanyah Vechnih i o Zemle' (Of Eternal Wanderings and of the Earth), named after Ray Bradbury's short story. Arda was awarded as 'Discovery of the Year 2004' by Dark City magazine and 'Breakthrough of the Year' by Metal Olympic.
In 2005 Arda presents its new single 'Exorcist' on Radio Russia and tours supporting the single. Next year the band participated' Emmaus' festival. New album 'More Ischezayushih Vremeon' (Sea of Vanishing Time) by CD-Maximum is coming soon.
