ケラ
ケラ (Kera) is a musician, actor, movie/stage director and scenario writer from Tokyo, Japan.
He is famous for being the president of the independent label ナゴムレコード (Nagomu Records) and frontman of one of Japan's most influential independent bands from the 80s, 有頂天.
ケラリーノ・サンドロヴィッチ (Keralino Sandorovich, or ケラ for short) was born in January 3rd, 1963 in Tokyo as 小林 一三 (Kobayashi Kazumi), he graduated in 日本映画学校 (Japan Academy of Moving Images).
Being the son of a Jazz musician, Kera started his musical career in 1980 with a band called 伝染病 (Densenbyou) which would break up in 1982. The same night 伝染病 held their last live, Kera's new band 有頂天 (Uchöten) started activities.
Kera also formed a theatre group called ナイロン100℃ (Nylon 100ªC) which is still active in the present day.
He produced many bands signed to Nagomu Records, some of which became nation-wide famous such as 筋肉少女帯, 人生 (pre-電気グルーヴ) and たま, amongst others.
Besides 有頂天, Kera also released solo works aswell as wroking with 筋肉少女帯 members 大槻ケンヂ (Kenji Ootsuki) and 内田雄一郎 (Yuuichirou Uchida) on the unit 空手バカボン.
Another unit, Les Long Vacation, was formed along with 筋肉少女帯's みのすけ (Minosuke) and 中野テルヲ (Teruo Nakano), from P-Model.
有頂天 ceased activities in 1991, but Kera continued musical activities with Les Long Vacation until 1995, he then formed the unit ザ・シンセサイザーズ (The Synthesizers) which would later become ケラ & ザ・シンセサイザーズ.
Kera has also worked in numerous movies, TV dramas, radio programs and theatre as director/actor/writer.
