몬스타엑스
MONSTA X (몬스타엑스) is a seven member hip-hop group from South Korea under Starship Entertainment consisting of members Shownu, Wonho, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Jooheon, and I.M. The group officially debuted through M! Countdown on May 14th 2015 with their mini album TRESPASS.
Before their debut, the boys participated in the survival show NO.MERCY gaining the chance to debut under ‘MONSTA X’. The group name has the double meaning of ‘the monsters to take over K-POP’. MON in French means ‘MY’, STA means ‘STAR’, and X means ‘UNKNOWN’ and is equivalent to ‘MY STAR X’.
The group released their second mini-album RUSH on September 7, 2015, which was followed by a digital repackage HERO on October 22, 2015. After that, they released their 3rd mini-album THE CLAN PART.1 LOST on May 18, 2016. It's the first part of their THE CLAN Series. The second part and also their 4th mini-album THE CLAN PART.2 GUILTY was released on October 4, 2016. The 3rd and the last part THE CLAN PART 2.5 BEAUTIFUL was released on March 21, 2017.
