浜田麻里
Mari Hamada (浜田麻里 born July 18, 1962 in Tokyo, Japan) is a Japanese female rock singer, songwriter and producer.
Mari started her own professional singing career in 1983. She characterized the heavy metal idol. Her records were smash hit in the Japanese rock market. Later, some changing her own musical style, more popularized sounds like Heart and Journey etc. Her market was more expanded.
In 1989, she hit No.1 on the music charts for the first time, and was performed at the Budokan hall two days successfully in the same year. After 1993, she promoted to the other countries' musical markets, especially Europe and Asia.
She is one of the best-selling female artists in Japan, from late 1980s to mid- 1990s.
Mari and Indecent Obsession once did a duet, Fixing a Broken Heart. It was released somewhere in 1994.
Mari's Hold On released somewhere in 1994 was also one of the English hits released under her.
