田口淳之介
Junnosuke Taguchi (田口淳之介) (b. November 29, 1985 in Chiba, Japan; raised in Kanagawa) is a Japanese singer-songwriter, actor, television personality and radio host. Taguchi became a member of the popular J-pop group, KAT-TUN, in 2001 and is the first T in the group's name. Since the group's debut in 2006, it has achieved 18 consecutive number ones on the Oricon single and album charts.
Known for his skill in acrobatics, Taguchi was once sidelined from the group for six months after he sustained a serious knee injury in February 2004 which required surgery. He returned with just as much vigor as before, impressing his groupmates. He is also known as the most light-hearted member with a carefree-like nature. Often picked on by the other members for his frequent use of dajare (Japanese word puns), he also has a tendency to randomly jump between topics during meetings and interviews leading the others to label him "KY" (an acronym for "Kuki Yomenai" (空気よめない): a person who is unable to read an atmosphere properly).
Taguchi is also an award-winning actor with roles in Mohouhan, Ganbatte Ikimasshoi, Happy!, Happy! 2, Hanayome to Papa and Yukan Club and guest starred in Kochikame. He hosts a radio show with bandmate 田中聖 (Koki Tanaka) called "KAT-TUN Style" and used to host a variety show with the rest of his groupmates called "Cartoon KAT-TUN" until its end in March 2010. Some of his known solo songs are "GIRLS" (a collaboration between himself, Tanaka and 中丸雄一 (Yuichi Nakamaru)), "Wind" (he co-wrote the music and lyrics for this song), "Special Happiness" (duet with 亀梨和也 (Kazuya Kamenashi)), "Seishin", "Samurai Love Attack", "Natsu no Basho", "Kuruikaketa Haguruma", "Jounetsu no Ichiya" and "Akai Kutsu".
