1. LANDS is a special unit made up of 赤西仁 (Jin Akanishi; former co-lead vocalist of KAT-TUN) and 小林武史 (Takeshi Kobayashi), a producer known for his work with Mr.Children, My Little Lover and other well-known contemporary pop/rock acts in the Japanese music industry, in promotion of the film "BANDAGE" which Kobayashi directed and Akanishi starred in. Other supporting members of the unit are 金子ノブアキ on drums (Kaneko Nobuaki of RIZE). Their first single, BANDAGE, was released on November 25, 2009 in Japan and reached number 1 on the Oricon daily, weekly and Billboard Japan Hot 100 charts. It also peaked at number 12 on the Global Track Chart.
The band's first and last album, Olympos, will be released on January 13, 2010 featuring seven new songs from the film written by Kobayashi, producer 岩井俊二 (Shunji Iwai) and Akanishi.
2. LANDS are a Post Rock/Metal band, formed late Autumn 2010 in Reigate, Surrey.
Consisting of guitarists Phil Bashford (Fony) and Steve Gush Richards (Fony), bassist Stu Gush (Broken Union and Bottlenex), drummer Adam Evans (Solo Shoots First) and vocalist Alex Hooton (Earned In Blood).
