The No-Goods
The No-Goods are from Meppel, Holland and started in 2000 as a two-men project. Two friends recording sixties garage songs in bed rooms, practice rooms and in kitchens on a 4 track tape-recorder, with Mark writing and singing the songs and Peter recording and playing the other instruments (guitar, bass, drums, organ).
After two years of messing around and spreading 2 demo-cd’s all over the world, they hook up with drummer Dennis, from a nearby town. From then on The No-Goods were a real band, that could play live. The sounds they produce now has to be called "Lekkere Beat" which is somewhere between nederbeat and garagepunk. Or just rock ’n roll!
Early 2003 a 7” single was released on the local lable Kuriosa Records, with 4 songs from the early demo’s, of course it’s called ‘Lekkere Beat’! Summer 2003 the 2nd 7” saw the light, ‘I Wanna Change/Cryin’ For Love’. It features them as a rocking 3 piece combo on the Highschool Refuse label from Groningen.
Their brand new 7" Wonder/Maureen is now out on Kuriosa Records and a new Record is coming up!
